Dutch Baby

Listen, Dutch babies are a big deal in this house.
Just picture it: the timer dings, the oven door swings open, and the delicious smell of browned butter and baked bread fills the air. I shout, “KIDS! COME LOOK!” Everyone comes running to see what wild shape our giant, golden cloud of a breakfast has taken this time.
There’s always a little excitement as we watch it settle and hear the crackle of maple syrup hitting the hot pan. I can hardly get it sliced and plated quickly enough before everyone is ready to dig in.
It’s one of those simple little breakfasts that somehow turns into a whole family event. And honestly, that’s part of what makes Dutch babies so special around here.

Dutch Baby
A Dutch baby is a light, fluffy oven-baked pancake with crisp, buttery edges and a dramatically puffed center, traditionally served warm with powdered sugar, fruit, or maple syrup.
